Recorded and mixed at Tender Trap studio by the band's guitarist Alistair Mclean and mastered by John Ruberto, Paper House present a dynamic live display that weaves through textures and soundscapes, 'Sweet Release' is modern day love song set in the city of Melbourne.

The song's lyrics conjure imagery of the incessant glow of the city lights and the process of trying to find more beautiful moments in the darkened corners. It is a song about the repetition of routine and life constantly moving forward but having a loved one to always be there make you pause, take a breath, and 'shake the dust off your sheets'.

With their live show being described as "offering you candy and then pushing you in the dirt", Paper House have quickly gained a reputation for their captivating live performances, often collaborating with diverse musicians, artists, filmmakers and set designers, to create immersive experiences for their audiences.

A Certain Kind of Now is Paper House's first full-length album exhibiting the bands signature style of melding pop sensibilities with improvised, unpolished moments. The album includes previous singles 'Rolling Tide' and 'End of the World' and new single 'Sweet Release'.
