Daughter Film & Awareness Project Final Public Screening

Published by: Sarah Jayne | 1-Aug-2016
Daughter is a short film and awareness project from Nexus Production Group which explores the perceptions of women in society and touches on gendered violence and victim blaming. Daughter is loosely based on the tragic deaths of Jil Meagher in Brunswck and Tracy Connelly in St Kilda and follows three women of different age, wealth and background on a Friday night out in St Kilda. All women are victims of violence and each woman's lifestyle choice does not make them more capable of being a victim compared to another. Daughter asks - would you care if she was your daughter?
