From August 9 – 26 this year, Darwin will be the cultural and artistic focus of the Top End. Performers, artists, locals and visitors will converge on the Festival hub at Civic Park to enjoy the vibrant and colourful atmosphere, the cultural experience and the festivities of the Darwin Festival.

A multi-arts program featuring more than 100 events over 18 nights, this festival is distinctly flavoured with Indigenous, Asian and multicultural events and presents an eclectic and colourful program encompassing theatre, music, dance, visual arts, comedy, film, workshops as well as free events in tropical, outdoor venues.

Highlights this year include international festival favourite – Bathboy in his latest show “La Soiree”, a top end bush-food dinner held under the stars in Darwin’s botanical gardens, a sublime musical collaboration featuring indigenous singer Shellie Morris and Yanyuwa Song Women [who have been sharing these stories via song for generations], seductive songstress Lanie Lane, the National Indigenous Music Awards, and last but not least iconic music legend Kenny Rogers to name a few.
