Saturday 5th March - Mojo Juju & Stella Angelico

Dark, moody and soulful, Mojo Juju sings songs that sound just like that night you can't quite remember. The kind of music that could make a bishop kick a hole in a stained glass window. In 2015 Mojo, working with long time friend and producer Ptero Stylus (Diafrix / Mantra), released second solo studio album Seeing Red/Feeling Blue. The praised release was followed by a hugely successful national tour with full band and performances at Sydney's prestigious Vivid Live festival, Darwin Festival as well as NYE On The Hill to round out the year.

One would think Mojo Juju might be starting to slow down a little. However, it appears that she is not quite done. Headed for Bluesfest, Byron Bay and WOMADelaide, Mojo Juju brings her signature soul and blues with a funky punch to Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre on Saturday 5th March. Planning a night of soul sensation, the show will see Mojo team up with Stella Angelico. Since release of her first single 'Mister' in 2012, Stella has played at Boogie Festival, MONA FOMA, Melbourne Festival and Adelaide Festival, playing in New York with Clairy Brown and The Bangin' Rackettes and more recently sharing the stage with Tex Perkins. With Stella's exotic, psych, underground lounge meets girl group sound and her transformative ability to move between the art, fashion, soul and rock spheres this show will be simply mesmerising.

Saturday 7th May - Tim Rogers

The voice of a generation of Australians that grew up in the 1990's, Tim Rogers, is best known as the frontman and guitarist of You Am I and we are thrilled to announce a very special show at Darebin Arts on Saturday 7th of May where Rogers will perform with backing of cello and violin. A career spanning over 2 decades, covering music, film, Television and Theatre, Rogers is one of Australia's most beloved music icons. With You Am I, Rogers has released 10 studio albums, three of which debuted at number one Hi Fi Way (1995), Hourly, Daily (1996) and #4 Record (1998), taken out ARIA Awards and received multiple platinum and gold sales. In addition Rogers has collaborated with fellow musicians Tex Perkins and The Bamboos.

Saturday 28th May - Emma Donovan & The PutBacks

Having established themselves as one of the premier funk outfits in Australia they now come to Darebin. Known for her solo career and work with The Black Arm Band, Emma Donovan has cemented her reputation as one of the great Australian soul singers with her ongoing collaboration with The PutBacks. Their 70's inspired funk and soul, rhythm and blues combine for a thrilling live show that is winning rave reviews across the country. In 2014 the outfit released their debut and critically acclaimed album Dawn which was awarded Best Soul, Funk R'n'B and Gospel Album at The Age Music Victoria Awards 2015.
