An exhibition of works on paper, canvas and wood produced by Sandra Tobias.
Tobias has been a practising artist and art educator for over 30 years exhibiting in group and solo shows in Japan, Hong Kong and Australia.
In Melbourne at Helen Gorie Gallery, Flinders Lane Gallery, Melbourne, Latrobe University Gallery Bendigo and Perth Institute of Contemporary Art.
Her work is represented in several Australian and International Collections both private and public.
She has completed several Artist In Residencies at Trades Hall Melbourne, ‘Bundanon’, Shoalhaven, NSW and Taipei Artists Village (Australia-China-Council 2005).
She has project managed several community art and participatory arts projects, including ‘Artist’s in the Rotunda’ (Castlemaine State Festival, 2007), “Posted-it’s what was written!” installation, Federation Square 2009 and Raindance 2010.
Tobias is currently artist in residence at St Vincent’s Hospital, these works and others are the culmination of the residency and works produced in her studio in Welshman’s Reef, Victoria.
These works reflect colourful connectivity, where people dance the same dance into the same sun and all in the same pursuit of life and it’s ever changing cycles.
