Creative development culminates in public showcase of new work, Fearless

JUTE Theatre Company's five-day creative development for emerging playwright Charmaine Armstrong, aka, Dizzy Doolan's new work, Fearless will culminate in a public showcase on Friday 4 September 2020 at Bulmba-ja Arts Centre. Fearless is the story of First Nations female rapper Dizzy, who comes from a long line of fighters, survivors, musicians and protestors.

Underpinned by a narrative infused with Rap and Blues “ music genres closely associated with issues of identity struggle “ Dizzy unpacks astonishing family legends, characters and events.

Charmaine Doolan is another alumni of JUTE Theatre Company's Write Sparks program 2018 and writer-in-residence 2019. (Refer to short bio below)

The project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
