When we see a young circus artist perform a trick we are captivated by the control they have over their body and mind, constantly aware of the ever-present danger should they lose that control for an instant. We are amazed at the way in which they work together with other artists, trusting each other as they balance at the top of an acrobatic pyramid, their life momentarily controlled by those below.

This original show explores how young people relate to the concept of CONTROL. How do they stay in control of their life, their future, their emotions? How do they control themselves and others? What pushes them out of control? It exposes the fine line between control and chaos, a line that is at the core of their physical circus work and upon which our whole existence balances.

The young artists of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, aged from 8 to 18, are highly trained, world-class circus performers. When on stage they become a powerful voice for their generation and have the physical skills to engage their audience on a virtuosic level and the performance skills to engage their audience on an emotional level. Control Alt Delete presents universal, relevant and thoughtful ideas in an entertaining, accessible and thrilling way. Circus out of control!

This brand new production showcases the amazing talents of the Australia’s unique young circus company, widely regarded as one of the best in the world. It is directed by Jodie Farrugia in an exciting first-time collaboration with Sydney’s hip-hop performer and composer Morganics and with the trainers and young artists of the Circus. It will be presented in a short season of preview performances at The Y - Flying Fruit Fly Circus HQ in Albury – before touring next year.

Flying Fruit Fly Circus executive director Richard Hull said there was a real sense of excitement and occasion about this show.

“Jodie Farrugia has an instinctive relationship with our young artists and the collaboration with Morganics is thrilling. Everyone is fired up!”

Some performances are already sold out, so book early to see the amazing Flying Fruit Fly Circus on home ground before the rest of the world catches on!

Control Alt Delete is directed and choreographed by Jodie Farrugia, circus director Scott Grayland, sound design by Morganics, lighting design by Sian James-Holland, set/costume design Bridie Wilkinson and dramaturg Sebastien Neo Pasche.
