Catherine Hamilton Jones aims to capture the unique light, contrasts and striking colour combinations found in Australian Landscapes and along our coastlines. She often draws inspiration from places around Queensland that she has visited and to which she an emotional connection. With each new painting, she likes the challenge of capturing the detail of a scene whilst maintaining a feeling of immediacy and freshness in the work. Catherine's aim is to create artworks that trigger a feeling of recognition or connection, but ultimately provide a sense of enjoyment and an escape for the viewer.
Lin Stanton’s work as an intuitive abstractionist is a multi-layered feast of intelligent complexity and clever use of colour portraying a lifetime’s experience as an artist who is just now coming into her most interesting evolution. Lyn created a large new body of work during Covid. Her characteristic hard edge style combines with softer statements and mark making producing works that are both organic and very different.
This exhibition not only features original works but for patrons who are looking for a more affordable option these three artists have a large collection of reproductions available making this exhibition accessible for everyone
