This exhibition is part of CandleX's project: Moodlab, an intimate portrait photography series shot by Pere Ibañez profiling Beijing residents that have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In addition, the opening event will include a panel discussion, aiming to be an open and frank conversation on the realities of bipolar disorder. To cap the evening off, there will be a raffle, for which many of the sponsors and partners from the wider Beijing business community have generously donated prizes.

The photos will not be presented alone, Moodlab was created to illustrate model's stories with mood or bipolar disorder,  so each photo will be accompanied by stories written by Chinese writer Enoch Li who previously did personal interviews with each model. #B and Moodlab aims to transform and empower the community, create a healthy and open conversation thereby bridging the gap between "unwell" and "well" members to share and learn about each other.

Candle X is a Chinese organisation that offers a safe space where English speakers in Beijing can find support and acceptance. Hosting talks and workshops that aim to educate and empower the community in identifying and managing emotions and mental health.

The award-winning photo series to be presented have been featured in exhibitions across North America during the last 2 years and most of them previously released in the artists latest book 'Syzygy' which topped Apple e-book sales charts in Spain.
