ChildFund Australia's Laos Water Cycle Art Auction this Friday, 7th September
Address: 12 Argyle Place, Millers Point, Sydney
Time: 6 - 9pm
This year Bryce McErlain, Susan Newman and Alicia Nagle have taken up the Laos Water Cycle challenge. We are raising $24 000 for ChildFund Australia to provide remote communities in northern Laos with improved access to clean water and better sanitation.
In November 2012, we will be cycling over 464km through Laos and Cambodia to visit some of the communities these funds will assist. In total, twenty of us are participating in the Laos Water Cycle Challenge. Together we’re fundraising to provide water tanks and toilets to these communities.
Our goal is to raise enough money to provide: 3 community water tanks with extensive piping and taps.
Over 190 household toilets. All the artworks have generously been donated and proceeds from the auction will go directly towards providing clean water and better sanitation to communities in remote northern Laos. We are accepting silent bids prior to the auction.
The live auction will commence at 7pm on Friday 7th September and prices will start from the highest silent auction bid.Any artworks that do not sell at auction will be available for sale via our website: http://teamlaos2012.tumblr.com/
Throughout this year, Bryce, Susan and Alicia have held trivia nights, a movie night, parties, and after the art auction will host a band night at Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel on the 27th of October.
We have raised just over $10,000 to date, so we're hoping for a big turn out at our last two events to help us reach our $24,000 target.
