The Australian Boys Choir and The Vocal Consort present four great mass settings from England at their concert in St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne, on Sunday, September 11 at 3.00 pm.

The Vocal Consort will sing the rarely heard Mass for Four Voices by Thomas Tallis and the boys are looking forward to sharing the exciting Missa Brevis in D by Benjamin Britten, accompanied by organist Michael Fulcher.

Together, the choirs will sing William Byrd's Mass for Four Voices and Ralph Vaughan Williams' ethereal Mass in G minor. Both of these works were originally written for choirs of men and boys in the English tradition: it is a rare treat to hear them performed this way in Australia.
