Melbourne"s underground performance scene is an amazing source of inspiration for artists and is the well from which we draw our models, inviting them to our community where we celebrate the fun often left behind as adults in creativity and drawing.

Thursday June 8th, ZELIA ROSE makes her Dr Sketchy debut at 24 Moons Bar, Northcote.

Zelia Rose has a list of credits as long as her extraordinary legs. Channelling the 1930s Golden Era of Burlesque, this singer, dancer, comic, aerialist, vaudevillian and showgirl extraordinaire will take you on a journey through the old world of exoticism and opulence.

Winner of Miss Burlesque Victoria, and then onto the 2014 Miss Burlesque Australia crown. She was named one of Australia"s Top 10 Burlesque Artists in 21st Century Magazine in the same year. Rose is a shooting star and will make massive waves in performance art communities around the world. Keep your eyes glued to her because she won"t stand still for long.

Artists and art hobbyists of all stripes can attend, performers of all types can pose. This bringing together of scenes and crossing of boundaries is essential to what we do.

Dr. Sketchy has been a boon to the art scene since its inception, promoting creativity and community in every city that runs one.

A wildly inclusive event- young and old, those who have drawn before, and those who have never picked up a pencil, this is the perfect place to get your fill of drawing fun.

Like Kurt Vonnegut said "practising an art, no matter how well or how badly is a way to make your soul grow".

DONT FORGET YOUR SKETCH PAD AND PENCILS!
