BICYCLE at the Adelaide Fringe Festival

Published by: Lies, Lies and Propaganda | 17-Jan-2016
"To men, the bicycle in the beginning was merely a new toy"¦To women, it was a steed upon which they rode into a new world." - Munsey's Magazine, 1896. A Transylvanian Count gives a Victorian Englishwoman a bicycle. But this gift comes with a price: midnight supper at his place. This invitation proves too tempting to resist and her mortal life is changed forever.

Lies, Lies and Propaganda brings its bold and fearless form of theatre-making to the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Performing in the historic Adelaide Adina Treasury Tunnels, Bicycle is a one-woman play about conquering fears, parting legs and the unexpected turns life can take after dining with a monster.

Danielle Baynes sinks her teeth into a gothic tale that celebrates all of the women who dared to put on a pair of pants and ride.

Performed as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2016.

With Danielle Baynes and Pip Dracakis
Directed by Michael Dean

24 February to 3 March 2016
