Jihye Min is a Korean-born multidisciplinary artist working in ceramics, film, photography, installation and performance art. This exhibition presents a series of works created during her residency at Box Hill Community Arts Centre.

Time goes by and life stories are piled for anyone who treasures them. As these stories are gathered, they become a history of community and the world. Through this exhibition, Jihye Min wishes to present her personal history by responding to the cities of Whitehorse, where her art career in Australia began five years ago. Images of a magnificent installation of ceramic vessels by the artist at Schwerkolt Cottage will form part of this remarkable exhibition. The piled vessels represent the efforts with time and visualise imaginary containers to hold the stories that the artist and we have experienced. The stories are sometimes pinkish, festival-like and joyful, but sometimes dark, shadowy-like and depressing. However, time always piles presently; so we should keep the precious stories in our vessels.
