This January, as part of the Sydney Festival, Belvoir Street Theatre and Performing Lines present the world premiere of My Urrwai, a deeply personal trip into the life stories and culture of Torres Strait Islander dancer, sister, daughter, comic, teacher, TV star and sometime air guitarist Ghenoa Gela.

Presented as part of the Sydney festival in association with Ilbijerri Theatre Company, My Urrwai is a candid and often humorous reflection on Ghenoa's cultural and familial inheritance.
