“The AWESOME Festival will be the first major arts festival to be presented in the State as we shift towards recovery, so I encourage families to be delighted by the 2020 program.” said Hon. David Templeman MLA.
This year’s AWESOME Festival will also feature The Nightingale by West Australian Opera, a work that has been developed in partnership with Co:3 Australia, WA Youth Orchestra and WA Young Voices, which will close the Festival’s closing weekend.
“It has been a challenging year for many Western Australian families and it is fantastic that the 2020 AWESOME Festival will commence our WA summer festival season. The AWESOME Festival offers high quality and affordable creative experiences for families and I hope that you will all take the opportunity to enjoy this outstanding event,” said The Honourable Mark McGowan MLA, Premier of Western Australia.
As a part of the festival, The Pigeon and The Albatross by Australian Baroque Company, Valentine by Rachael Woodward (WA), Whoosh! by Sensorium Theatre (WA), A Piece of You by Greg Sinclair (Scotland), and Mountain Goat Mountain by Threshold (VIC) will all be performed.
