Hugo Weaving plays Eddie, a young man who finds himself suddenly dragged into the police station for questioning on a recent crime. In the course of the intense, close-quarters questioning, stories ebb and flow and in a classic game of cat and mouse, the police (led by Tony Martin) never really quite get a grip on what to believe or think.
The Interview is a surprising and outstanding film through and through and points to a fantastic period of Australian cinema which was guided by identity, purpose and authenticity.
