About Heathcote Cultural Precinct (HCP)Heathcote Cultural Precinct acknowledges the Beeliar people of the Noongar Nation on which Heathcote is built. We recognise their continuing connection to the land, waters and community of this area and pay our respects to their elders past, present and future in the spirit of reconciliation.
The City of Melville’s Heathcote Cultural Precinct is situated at Point Heathcote/Kooyagoordup on the site of the former Heathcote Mental Reception Home in Applecross and is now a heritage-listed public space.
It features the Heathcote Gallery, a contemporary art gallery with rotating exhibitions of new and recent work by emerging and established artists, and the Heathcote Museum dedicated to the site’s history, as well as artists studios, an Artist in Residency program, stunning venues for hire and numerous public workshops and events. It is also home to a world-class restaurant and one of the most popular, award-winning playgrounds in the metropolitan area.
