Allegri Ensemble, directed by Andrew Bainbridge, is proud to present Cantiones Sacrae (Sacred Songs), its first concert for the 2018 season, an a cappella program of sacred choral works from the published collections of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, Peter Philips, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and others. The program includes two works from Igor Stravinsky, his Pater noster of 1926 and his version of Carlo Gesualdo's Illumina nos, for which Stravinsky supplied two missing voice parts.
