Returning to this heritage listed "other worldly" location, there really is no better pairing of production and placement for this much loved Australian Shakespeare Company Summer season.

ASC Artistic Director, Glenn Elston - best known for his productions of Shakespeare Under the Stars and 'The Wind in the Willows' - once again cleverly adapts a much loved classic tale into a dynamic and highly enjoyable production that entertains all ages.

"This Summer season of 'Alice in Wonderland' is loved by audiences every year because children (and adults) prefer fantasy to reality.", explains Director Glenn Elston.

"Alice offers an endearing and safe guide into a surreal world that encourages the imagination to blossom and explore all manner of possibilities. 'Alice in Wonderland' is also an encouraging role model for self-esteem and survival in the face of various strange adversities. She stands up for herself in a variety of quite challenging situations! Humpty Dumpty is joining the parade of fantastical characters in this years' season and there will also be more interaction with the audience, inviting them to participate along the journey through Wonderland."

Full of fanciful characters, 'Alice in Wonderland' follows Alice as she tumbles down the rabbit hole into a wonderland, encountering talking Rabbits, Caterpillars, Cats, and the larger than life Queen of Hearts. She gets taller and smaller, dances with the Dodo, talks with a Caterpillar, sneezes with the Duchess, has tea with the Mad Hatter, and works to keep her head from the Queen of Hearts.

This captivating promenade-style children's production from The Australian Shakespeare Company returns to enthral and delight the whole family. With singing, dancing, and riddles and rhymes, there's lots of fun participation for children. Even adults have to turn into cards and march behind the Queen of Hearts... or suffer the consequences.

Young and old alike are invited to join Alice as she goes down the rabbit hole into the magical world of Wonderland in another of the much loved Summer productions by The Australian Shakespeare Company.

"This captivating outdoor production will keep the whole family entertained... Alice In Wonderland is fast, fun and fantastical!" - The Advertiser
