A video message from James Crabb | Latin Spirit Festival | Easter 2017

Published by: Four Winds | 19-Mar-2017
This Easter 2017 Latin Spirit Festival is a celebration of the sounds of tango and flamenco. It is also a special opportunity to continue the Four Winds tradition of bringing together outstanding musicians in this exceptional place and community that is Bermagui. This is the essence of what makes Four Winds so special!
The musicians I've invited to be a part of this very special celebration are simply extraordinary. It is a coup to have such a gifted performer as JOSE CARBO, one of the most sought after baritones in the Southern Hemisphere, coming to Four Winds to share with us a Latin repertoire that is so close to his heart.

ANDREW HAVERON is one of todays most celebrated violinists. Leader of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, he is in great demand as an international soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster. Also performing as part of TANGO JAM 2 is STEFAN CASSOMENOS, a new generation concert pianist, composer and vibrant collaborator in many different musical styles, as well as double bassist PHIL STACK, a standout musician in the jazz/rock worlds both in Australia and abroad. Another internationally acclaimed performer joining the quintet is the Adelaide based multi-award winning guitarist ALEKSANDR TSIBOULSKI. Bringing those outstanding musicians together at Four Winds is exactly that fusion of classical and jazz music elements which Piazzolla so masterfully blended together to create the dramatic and sensual Tango Nuevo. We perform together as TANGO JAM 2 on Easter Saturday evening in the Windsong Pavilion and then we will be accompanying Jose Carbo on Sunday afternoon in the Sound Shell.

The entire team at Four Winds are filled with excitement and great anticipation to offer you this fantastic new experience this Easter.
