"Release from Heaven" An Animated Masterpiece

Though the most professional feature animation in the history of Iranian cinema is about to be screened, its director is concerned about local censorship and looks forward to seeing his work of art the way he has made it.
When we're talking about oriental arts, the role of Persian traditional art which is one of the richest art heritages in world history and has been strong in many media including miniature, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy is undeniable. Now just imagine what happens when you see a collection of eye catching elements from all above mentioned media gathered in one animated film.

Though it seems that only a few companies, mainly American, are considered the lords of animation with their amazing productions, there are some emerging movements in other countries. It attracts more attention when one of these movements has occurred in Iran in which animation has always been ignored by the state and it's struggling hard to survive.

Now just imagine your surprise when you see an Iranian animated feature film called "Release from Heaven" has won international acclaim and attracted American big studios. The film which will be screened in summer 2016 is directed by Ali Noori Oskouei who is famous for his creative methods and unique production design.

The film boasts a unique combined 2D, 3D and paper animation technique and narrates the story of a comic writer who gets inside her last novel. Though the director is already working on his new film which is based on a Chinese myth, he is concerned about the limitations of local screening and censorship.

"Release from Heaven" was presented in Best Seller to Box Office section in Cannes 2015 and it's highly predicted to be a super hit at the box office.
