The Korea-Australia Arts Foundation cordially calls for entries from all Australian artists!

Artworks can be open themed/medium and needs to be 2D or 3D-wall art for hanging.

Artists can submit upto 2 artworks.

Exhibition period (for selected finalists): 29.11.2019 - 24.01.2020 at the Korean Cultural Centre, Sydney.

About The Korea-Australia Arts Foundation (KAAF)

The Korea-Australia Arts Foundation (KAAF) is an organisation comprised of Korean people for promoting and supporting a wide range of visual artists in Australia.KAAF is a non profitable organisation which was established with the motive to provide specialised activities in visual art, to support artists and art organisations within the visual arts field.

KAAF provides annual art competitions which is supported by the Korean Culture Center in Sydney and also provides information across to Korea on a wide range of Korean art and other art mattersincluding Artist in Residence, Art School, local artists and art organisations that are based in Australia.

The motion behind this organisation dates back to 2006 when KWASS (Korean Women's Art Society Sydney) was first established by a group of female Korean artists residing in Australia with reason to promote the art culture and art science to the Korean community within Australia. They have had successful outcomes with numerous and various art events in which resulted in the community becoming more involved and aware of the arts and the role of the art culture within the society.

As KWASS members have come on board with experiences from a similar organisation, it is believed that the foundation as a whole will play an important role in providing systematic and structural support for taking part and holding various art and cultural activities.

In addition KAAF will seek to endeavor its support for the Australian multicultural council and take part in upbringing the ideology of a truly cultural and ecological community.

Korea-Australia Arts Foundation is to be funded from various sources.
