Wendy Sharpe, Musicians
One of Australia's most awarded artists and a generous and experienced teacher, Wendy will be a wonderful host for this tour where the focus will be on the medium of gouache on paper, exploring a working method that is fresh and immediate, responding to our surroundings by working directly from life. Working side by side with Wendy we will travel and explore different subjects including architectural spaces, urban life, landscape and portraits including colourful Moroccan interiors and dress. We will draw inspiration from the rich cultural history and traditional arts and crafts to develop individual paintings together with a visual diary in concertina format that will record our experience. Reviews and critiques of the works and evening discussions will be a time to share ideas as we learn about Morocco.

ACTM art tours are primarily an immersive, cultural holiday where we explore the rich and complex history and contemporary life of Morocco, finding a balance between site seeing and art making. Accommodation is provided in the most comfortable traditional guesthouses, where we will enjoy the extraordinary delights of local food, hospitality and traditional music. Partners are also welcome to join the tour and will be well catered for. Traveling with a small group of like-minded people and an experienced team of co- hosts, the program offers an innovative and creative way to explore a new place that is stimulating, supportive and safe.
