Art Est. Gallery is pleased to host the launch of the Print Council of Australia's 2013 Print Commission. The exhibition will feature print artists from across Australia as well as artist talks, demonstrations and print making classes for kids and adults. The Print Council of Australia’s annual print subscription provides an easy low-cost way to build a collection of quality fine art prints by emerging and established artists. Each year the Print Council commissions 10 selected artists to print a limited edition of prints for sale to subscribers to the program. Print Council commissioned prints are found in significant collections throughout Australia such as public art museums, galleries and schools as well as individual collections.

The 2013 Print Commission artists are: Andrew Antoniou (NSW), Kim Barter (VIC), Helen Clarke (WA), Kevin Foley (VIC), Margaret Genever (QLD), Vesna Klačar-Nedimović (QLD), Christine Lawry (VIC), Ben Reid (NZ), Annika Romeyn (ACT) and Lin Tobias (VIC). Artist floor talk with Andrew Antoniou, Christine Lawry and Annika Romeyn on Saturday 21 September at 2pm. Free. Workshop: Learn some fine points of printmaking in the Dry Point and Chine-Colle workshop with Andrew Antoniou at Art Est. on Sunday 22 September. Bookings essential.
