The first major Retrospective of the late Grace Mitchell's extraordinary work is currently on exhibition at Eltham South Fine Art Gallery in Eltham. Works include Wood Sculpture, ceramics, screen print, lino and etching printworks, fine Silk embroidery, fine crotchet work spanning a a large scale sculpture of Noah's Ark. Grace, born in 1916 lived until 94 and lived a varied life of careers that included dressmaking, dietician, pastry cook and at age 67 commenced her Fine Art Degree at RMIT (PIT). She moved to Eltham in 1948 where she and her husband Arthur created the Orchard Garden that is today the legacy of Eltham South Fine Art gallery and studio.
