Breuer's work borrows motifs from key literature, philosophy and art movements of the 20th Century, including decorative art, futurism, minimalism and pop art. His body of work ranges from abstract and figurative paintings to text based installations. Often working with a self-designed grid-like typography, Breuer encourages the viewer to shift between viewing his work as an abstract pattern, or searching for the meaning behind his chosen text and symbols. Breuer's exhibition coincides with the unveiling of a public art installation by the artist across MARS Gallery's ten metre high, east facing external wall, proudly supported by the City of Stonnington.
