Requiem for an Empress a musical highlight for 2021

For over eighty years, the Australian Boys Choir has provided outstanding training for young people alongside exceptional performances for audiences. And the year ahead is no exception. The extraordinary Requiem for an Empress is set to be a highlight of 2021. To be performed at 2.30 pm on Saturday 15th May at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Ballarat, and at 3pm on Sunday 16th May at Sacred Heart Church, Carlton, the performance comprises a single 65-minute work, namely the Officium Defunctorum of 1605 by celebrated Spanish Renaissance composer Tomás Luís de Victoria. The work is perfectly suited to the voices of the Choir's Performing Squad and The Vocal Consort. @AustBoysChoir
