Discover important members of the Gippsland Aboriginal community in this significant portrait series. In a collaboration between photographer Angela Lynkushka and the sitters, these stunning portraits provide an empowering contemporary view of community Elders, leaders and artists. Each sitter selected the place and manner in which they were photographed to show the connections between identity, culture, place and representation. Open daily during Library hours. Angela Lynkushka is joined in conversation by key figures from this project on Thursday 15 June and Saturday 17 June in artist floortalks. Thursday 15 June at 3pm: in conversation with Lee Darroch, artist, art worker and founder of Gurranyin Arts. Saturday 17 June at 2pm: in conversation with Ray Thomas, award-winning artist. Bookings required.
