ENDA - Ecole nationale d"art (ex Institut des hautes études en arts plastiques - Iheap) is a graduate school for research and experimentation in art. It is the educational branch of the Biennale de Paris. ENDA offers to its researchers, a course of study that aims to liberate them from the inherited ideas of 20th century art history, and proposes an inquiry into the crucial issues of 21st century art, whose history is now unfolding and in which they might eventually participate. ENDA is open to all those who have an interest in singular and extreme practices which currently and sporadically appear in the art world and elsewhere. ENDA is for those who want to change their artistic practice or professional activity, for those who after several years of art school want to break free of alienated learning, who expect more from a school than a framework for artistic production, for those who reject art as it is commonly practiced, and finally for those who wish to work on essential issues in intimate and experimental conditions.

Course of study
The course of study, the session, is completed in one academic year and is composed of modules (workshops and lectures) mixing practice and theory. By the end of the program, each practitioner will have to produce an activity report and an individual project, combining a practical and theoretical approach. ENDA delivers a researched based Post-Diploma (DNREA - National Diploma for Research and Experimentation in Art), which is research-based and usually given after a Masters or in parallel with other studies. Complimentary with other degrees, it is possible to be enrolled in another course of study while attending ENDA. Eligible candidates are not, however, required to hold a prior degree.Applications
