Adelaide Fringe feature 'The Sirens' set for Sydney showcase

Published by: Jessica Song | 22-Mar-2016
Adelaide Fringe's unique, outdoor art experience The Sirens is set to wow and surprise Sydney audiences with a series of free performances throughout April on the waterfront at Harbourside in Darling Harbour.
Venue: Harbourside Shopping Centre
Ticket: Free event

The Sirens are a performance group of four-metre tall divas dazzled in a kaleidoscope of flashing lights. The audio-visual illusionists are set to be a spectacle for the eyes and ears, with their glowing gowns and operatic vocals that will send chills down your spine.

Greg Clarke, previous Director of the Adelaide Fringe who co-created The Sirens with the Fringe team, commented "Sydney audiences and visitors are going to fall in love with the stunning Sirens who will playfully entice everyone to experience their magical world of soul, pop, jazz and rock music.''

Crowds of all ages will be able to sit and watch the 30-minute act exploding with colour, movement, music and engineering in Harbourside's Amphitheatre. There will also be a chance for crowds to interact and take photos with the performers before and after the show.

Harbourside has over 25 restaurants offering customers the perfect opportunity for a pre-performance dinner and drink by twilight. Darling Harbour also hosts a stunning fireworks display, lighting up Sydney's night sky every Saturday. The Centre has ample parking available at the Harbourside Carpark, under the Novotel, and is just a short stroll over Pyrmont Bridge to the CBD.
