Artists and people of wealth travelled through Europe, in particular Italy, during the 17th and 18th centuries. The Grand Tour allowed visitors to the great cities to enrich themselves with the art and culture that was there for their delectation. Turin, Venezia, Padua, Florence, Rome and Bologna were all key stops along the Grand Tour route. Since May 2011 l have been living in Bologna, traveling to such places, and other smaller cities and towns; painting, drawing, and visiting the many museums and churches.
