Golden Jam Productions are proud to present the Australian premiere of Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's electric thriller, The Wasp, as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival from 20th to 24th September, 2016.

Straight from two critically acclaimed productions in London, this all new staging explores how far beyond the playground we carry our childhood experiences and to what lengths some people are willing to go in order to come to terms with them.

The play centres around Heather and Carla, whose lives have taken very different paths since they last saw each other in high school. Carla lives a hand to mouth existence while Heather has a high flying career, a husband and a beautiful home. And yet, here they are drinking tea and making awkward conversation; that is until Heather presents Carla with a significant amount of cash and an unexpected proposition.

Directed by Sean O'Riordan (MIXD DRINX), and with set and costume design by Angela Nieweglowski and lighting design by Daniel Barber, The Wasp stars Nicola James (Like Whiskey on the Breath of a Drunk you Love/Lunch) as Carla and Natalie Freeman (Punk Rock) as Heather.

Golden Jam Productions was established in 2014 as a vehicle for the fresh faces of the Sydney theatre scene to show what they're made of. Following a near sell-out season of the double bill Like Whiskey on the Breath of a Drunk you Love/Lunch, as part of The Old Fitz's 2015 late night season, Golden Jam is set to become a mainstay in the Sydney theatre scene.
